Professional Festive
Fruit Cake

One entry per registered bakery will be accepted in each of the professional and apprentice sections. All professional and apprentice entries must be registered online by 5 pm Wednesday 13th August 2025, (no exceptions).

  1. Warm inviting aroma that contains scent of fruits, dense but moist texture with no dryness or crumbling. Distribution of fruit and nuts on top of cake.

  2. Taste of fruit and nuts should be moist but not soggy. Spices should be balanced.

  3. Fruit especially glacé fruit should have a pleasant sweetness and compliment the richness of the cake.

  4. Alcohol if used should not overpower the other flavors.

  5. Minimum of 8X8 size (round or square) MUST BE BAKED separately as a cake and not cut from a slab.

Festive fruit cakes are to be received at back entrance of Club Merbein (in Fisher Lane) from 7 to 11 am, Saturday August 16th 2025.
